As the summer comes to a close, we are excited to welcome Nicole Ezeh to our small, but mighty team as our Social Media & Digital Marketing intern. This fall, Nicole is beginning her senior year at Butler University where she is not only tackling a Strategic Communication major and Marketing minor, but also holds a valuable place on the Women’s Track & Field team. Keep reading to find out more about Nicole!
What drew you to be an intern in the advertising/social media world?
I love the reward that comes with being able to successfully market to a person or group based off of the relationship you have with them. I also love to be able to tell stories through visuals!
Who or what inspires you?
Michelle Obama is one of my biggest inspirations. Her ability to be unapologetically herself, and showcase her leadership and power in such diverse and important environments is admirable. She creates spaces at tables people like her have never been, and leaves them a better place because of her presence.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I really wanted to be a fashion designer growing up. I wanted to specialize in designing wedding dresses, so I watched Say Yes to the Dress all the time!
What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?
Restraining myself from stopping to get food from any restaurant.
What is your most-used emoji?
🤣
What is a professional goal that you hope to accomplish in the next 5 years?
Become the Director of Marketing for a sports corporation!
You can have anyone fictional as your imaginary friend, who do you choose and why?
Dora the Explorer, because she was my best fictional friend growing up.
Would you rather travel back in time to meet your ancestors or to the future to meet your descendants? Why?
I would like to travel to the future to meet my descendants, to see how my family name will evolve over time. My family has done a really good job telling stories about our lineage and ancestry so I have a general idea of who they are.
If you could instantly be an expert in a subject, what would it be?
I would probably choose something like engineering or rocket science. I’ve always thought it was interesting, but my brain has never understood it enough to really pursue.
What are you most excited for during your time with Burkhart as an intern?
I am super excited to develop myself professionally in such a close-knit firm as the social media intern, and learn more about how to capture the stories of clients and portray it accurately and uniquely through their brand!
