As the summer comes to a close, so does my time as an intern for Burkhart Marketing Partners. I can’t believe how quickly this internship went! I had a great experience getting to know the clients and team this summer.

My Internship Experience

This internship gave me lots of new knowledge on marketing careers within an agency. It was my first time being able to observe how an agency operates. I was able to sit in on client meetings and learn how to best communicate with them, understand new digital platforms, organize and present analytics, improve my copywriting skills, and more. 

Additionally, we were able to interview the team to learn more about what they do for the agency. This was valuable, and I gained insight into each person’s scope of work and what they contribute to the team. It was interesting to learn about their experiences in the marketing world and get advice on where I am headed in my career.

My Takeaways

I am taking a lot of valuable skills away from this internship. It taught me a lot about how a marketing agency runs versus marketing for one specific brand. I learned a lot of new hard skills like client communication, Sprout Social, and WordPress. I was able to improve my writing skills, gain experience with blog writing, and write copy for various social media platforms and ads that span many industries. In addition, I utilized my creativity in creating social images, story graphics, and Tik Toks! 

Team Burkhart has perfected a valuable internship program; my short time here was an amazing experience. The environment was truly one for teaching and learning, and the team was always encouraging and supportive. I am so thankful for the knowledge and skills I gained during my summer at Burkhart Marketing Partners. Thank you!
