Burkhart Marketing Partners welcomes Carlos Cadoy-Castro, our new Summer 2024 Social Media and Digital Marketing Intern! Carlos is a senior at Indiana University Indianapolis (IUI), where he is pursuing a degree in marketing. Keep reading to learn more about Carlos and what he looks forward to while working with the Burkhart Team this summer term!

What drew you to advertising?

As someone who has an interest in both business and creative work, digital marketing brings them both together. Being able to create content that resonates with its viewers, in which they may engage, and helps drive traffic requires a creative and business mindset.

Who or what inspires you?

Books, music, or any form of art inspire me. I love consuming other creatives’ work and viewing their perspective on what led them to create what they have created.

What did you want to be growing up?

As a child, I wanted to be a mailman, or so my older brother says. I believe this stemmed from seeing someone who serves others as someone I wanted to be as well.

What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?

When I am alone in my car, I think about what new hobby or skills I can learn now that could benefit me in the future.

What is your most-used emoji?

What is a professional goal that you hope to accomplish in the next five years?

In the next five years, I hope to achieve my degree in marketing and become an expert in a marketing field on which I stand out, and others can rely.

You can have anyone fictional as your imaginary friend; Who do you choose and why?

If I could have anyone fictional as an imaginary friend, I would probably have Remy from Ratatouille on my side. To have a friend with that much enthusiasm in cooking would be amazing to learn from.

Would you rather travel back in time to meet your ancestors or to the future to meet your descendants? Why?

I would rather travel to the future and meet my descendants. I believe I could learn more from the future and make a difference now, whereas I couldn’t from what has happened in the past.

If you could instantly be an expert in a subject, what would it be? Why?

I would like to be a food expert because I love food from all different types of cultures. I would spoil myself and everyone around me.

What are you most excited for during your time with Burkhart?

What I am most excited about during my time with Burkhart is working with others in the same field as me and learning from them as well.
