My Spring internship provided me with valuable experiences in digital marketing. I learned how social media is used professionally through content production and management. Most of my accomplishments revolve around new skills I learned while at Burkhart Marketing.

My Internship Experience

As a Digital Marketing and Social Media Intern at Burkhart, my primary responsibility was curating and managing content across various social media platforms. I worked towards fostering interaction and engagement with our audience by executing daily Instagram stories and refining overall social media content. Guided by our content strategy, I produced informative and engaging materials following our brand’s messaging. In addition to this, I played a vital role in brainstorming and developing items for the Burkhart Marketing content calendar. At the beginning of each month, I also compiled website and social media reports from Google Analytics and Sprout Social to gain deeper insights into how to improve our strategies.

My Takeaways

During my marketing internship at Burkhart Marketing Partners, I experienced tremendous growth, gained new knowledge and skills, and had the opportunity to collaborate with amazing people. It was an invaluable experience that I will always cherish. Throughout this journey, I’ve embraced challenges, particularly balancing the need for swift content production with maintaining high standards. Each hurdle has been an opportunity for growth, and I’m proud of my strides in refining my skills. I was fortunate to be an intern in a supportive environment. During my time there, I further honed my skills in social media marketing, which I had initially learned during my Strategic Communication education at Butler University. Based on my experience, I highly recommend working with this company for students who aspire to work in social media marketing.
