It’s hard to believe my spring semester and internship with Burkhart Marketing Partners are coming to an end. My role as the Social Media + Digital Marketing Intern exposed me to the real experiences of a marketing agency and allowed me to hone in on my professional skills. I am grateful for this opportunity and am excited to reflect on my internship experience.
Internship Experience
My prior work experiences and interpersonal skills led me to apply for the Social Media + Digital Marketing Internship with Burkhart. I was excited to work in an agency setting and gain experience from exemplary leaders in the marketing field as I had never worked in an agency setting before. This generated my excitement to see the internal collaboration process, client communication, and content development in a behind-the-scenes effort. Being able to sit in on client meetings provided me with hands-on experience.
During my time at Burkhart, internal collaboration was an essential part of my daily routine. I have gained knowledge and understanding of the importance of marketing to different audiences and the best practices for various clients. I have applied this knowledge through informative and creative blog posts, social media analysis, and daily content creation.
Burkhart allowed me to understand the why and how behind digital and social media content. I had no prior experience with Google Analytics or Sprout Social, and during my semester with the team, I had the chance to utilize both platforms to measure engagements and foster analytical reasoning from Burkhart media statistics.
Lessons Learned
From my first day at Burkhart, I felt like more than just an intern. I was a valued member of #TeamBurkhart. I always felt encouraged to share new ideas and ask questions. Burkhart’s positive and creative environment motivated me to always produce my best work. I have loved my time here and am incredibly grateful for the meaningful connections I have made and the professional role models I admire.
It’s sad to see my time with Burkhart come to a close, but I’m thankful for all the knowledge and skills I have learned here. I will take these valuable skills and experiences as I head into the workforce and begin my career. Thank you!
