Our love for the Circle City runs deep and our team as a whole makes an effort to explore what our city has to offer any chance we can. Whether you have lived here for years and are looking for something new to do, or you are visiting and have time to check out some local attractions, this list is for you! Here are our top 10 recommendations for things to do the next time you are in Indianapolis.

If you are heading to the Circle City, make your first stop Monument Circle. Grab some lunch and eat on the stairs, check out the museum in the lower level of the monument, or head up to the observation level to see a new view of the city (and get your steps in).

Take a ride or walk along the many trails and pathways in Indianapolis. Each of these routes take you past some of the best sites in Indy.

  • Indianapolis Cultural Trail

  • Monon Rail Trail

  • Central Canal Towpath

  • Fall Creek Trail

  • White River Wapahani Trail

  • Pleasant Run Greenway

Can you really say you have seen Indianapolis if you haven’t seen the IMS in person? It is “The Greatest Race Course in the World” for goodness sake. Head to the track for a tour of the grounds, visit the museum, play around at Brickyard Crossing, or head to one of the local restaurants to enjoy a bite to eat!

Enjoy a glass of wine or a local craft beer, buy a unique gift for someone, or grab a meal – you can do it all at the City Market.

When the weather is cooperative, head to the zoo! The Indy Zoo is easily accessible from the trails mentioned above and has a multitude of experiences for you to enjoy (run with cheetahs, visit the gardens and hang with orangutans)!

Looking for something to do outside? Head to one of Indy’s oldest parks – Holliday Park! There are 94 acres of green space to explore while you are there. Don’t forget to check out the Holliday Park Ruins for a one-of-a-kind experience without leaving the city!

Looking for the perfect combination of art and nature? Look no further. The galleries are surrounded by gardens, water features, and woodland.

Continue your cultural enrichment by heading indoors to the IMA. The art museum is one of the oldest and largest in the nation.

Step back in time with a trip to Action & Atomic Duckpin Bowling. Located in Fountain Square, this historic building was restored in 1993 and allows guests to enjoy an experience straight from the 1950’s and 60’s.

Over 21 and looking for a fun way to end your night? The Rooftop Garden Cocktail Lounge is the answer to you search! Take in the downtown skyline while enjoying local craft beer, a cocktail or wine.
