If someone asked you how many social networks you actively use, how many would you say? Two, Five, Ten? A recent study done by a technology market research firm revealed that the average social media user has two (active) accounts.

Each social media network positions itself to help you with a different aspect in your life. For instance, Facebook is where you go to share personal updates, Twitter to get the latest news, Pinterest to find DIY projects and recipes… Make accounts on all the platforms out there and before you know it you’ve spent five hours browsing the web. Which may not be good for your health, but businesses love it!

Each platform has unique characteristics that make it appealing to its users.
