We hope you have a great experience this summer here at Burkhart, Jacob – we are very excited to have you!

What drew you to/kept you in advertising?

I wanted an outlet to express creative ideas within the confines of a business environment.

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by people with incredible work capacities. I take great inspiration from people that have a vision and work consistently to obtain a goal even if nobody believes in their vision.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a stand-up comedian.

What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?

That Semi-Trucks should have their own lane on the road.

What is your most-used emoji?

The sunglasses emoji 😎

What is a professional goal that you hope to accomplish in the next 5 years?

I want to be proficient in analyzing statistical software and understand how to apply them in business decisions. I am exposing myself to opportunities that will give me a well-rounded understanding of the industry I wish to build my career in.

You can have anyone fictional as your imaginary friend, who do you choose and why?

I would choose Batman. First things first, Bruce Wayne is a billionaire. Who wouldn’t want to be the friend of a billionaire? Anybody inside the inner circle of Bruce Wayne most likely either gets to do cool things with his business or gets to be a superhero to help him fight crime. This sounds like a win-win.

Would you rather travel back in time to meet your ancestors or to the future to meet your descendants? Why?

I would rather travel back in time to meet my ancestors. I have always been interested in the history of my family. My family comes from a very small part of Kentucky called Whitesburg. All of my family members that lived in this area lived on a mountain. One side of the hill was Kentucky and the other side was West Virginia. I grew up hearing stories from my parents about the adventures they had living off the land on the mountain. It would be interesting to sit down and talk with them about their lives and adventures.

If you could instantly be an expert in a subject, what would it be?

I would like to be an expert in Mathematics. A person can prove just about anything if they are trained well enough in math. The power of mathematics in the world of business is a skill I have a great amount of respect for.

What are you looking forward to most while working as the Marketing Intern for Burkhart?

I am excited to learn and develop skills with analytical software. I am also excited to use the skills I have developed in my time at Franklin College with real-world variables.
