Intern Spotlight: Chris Stuard

New year, new intentions, new interns! Meet Chris Stuard, our Marketing Intern this semester and graduating senior at Butler University. Read on to learn a little about Chris and his love of sports and a classic 90’s sitcom.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

I love movies, so I’d probably take that time to relax and find something good on Netflix.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Growing up I wanted to be a professional baseball player. Obviously, that didn’t happen, but I’m still a huge fan and baseball is my favorite sport.

What drew you to/kept you in advertising? (How did you choose it?)

I took an Advertising class at Butler and really enjoyed it. I realized that advertising was something I’d be interested in pursuing and learning more about.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?

I’d swap places with Brian Cashman, the General Manager of the New York Yankees. I think it would be really cool to be apart of the front office of a professional baseball team and see things that the average fan can’t.

Who or what inspires you?

My parents. They’ve been able to provide everything I’ve needed so far in life and have put me in a position to be successful.

What is your most-used emoji?

😂 Definitely the laughing emoji. I feel like I’m always laughing.

What do you feel prepared you most for life after college?

I think Butler’s Lacy School of Business has prepared me most for life after college. Both the Real Business Experience class and the requirement to take two internships have provided me with experience in the world of business and has prepared me to be successful.

What’s your favorite throwback jam?

“Everytime We Touch” by Cascada. It’s impossible to be in a bad mood when listening to that song.

What’s your favorite 90’s show?

Full House. An underrated classic.

Where is your happy place?

Hinkle Fieldhouse. I’ve always had a passion for sports and there’s just something magical about Hinkle.
